I have no doubt. She seemed very down to earth. I will admit that I scoured the airport bookstore for a copy of her book (because you know I can't resist a signed book!), but they didn't have one. Had they, all bets would have been off! ;-)

Wow--sounds like fun! One of my biggest regrets is not approaching Kathy Griffin when I had the chance. Chelsey and I saw her having coffee at the terminal's Starbucks when were at the TN airport in May. Since she was on her own time, I didn't want…

That sounds like my dream come true! (Of course, Chelsey would tell you that I really don't need any more books at the moment.) I hope you have fun...

How exciting for you--have fun! (PS -- I finally tracked down a copy of FIRST THRILLS last night and am really looking forward to reading your short story!)

Oh, that's such a tease! Can't wait to read the books. And welcome back to blogging, by the way. You were missed... Congratulations on another completed manuscript! :)
June 18
Sounds like a blast! I'll have to get there one of these day. Have fun...

Thanks for the books from Dunkirk, Wendy! Chelsey is starting her's tonight...

Congratulations! The praise is well-deserved...

Let me just say that I'm proud to be one of the chosen few "guinea pigs" for the testing of this site. I've been a fan of Wendy's since I defied common logic and judged a book solely by its cover. That book was ALL THE WAY HOME, with its gothic creepiness, and I've been hooked ever since. I've had the great fortune of getting to know Wendy over the years through in-person encounters and lots and lots of emails, and can say that she is a class act. (How she finds the time to do all the things she does I'll never know...) I look forward to being a part of this community!

I keep a LiveJournal that I've been told is pretty funny. And Wendy graciously agreed to be a guest-blogger back when I celebrated my 600th entry. Feel free to visit:

Visit my Book Blog for your chance to win a signed copy of DEAD BEFORE DARK

Hi Everybody!

Wendy was kind enough to (somehow) find the time to stop over at my book blog on Examiner.com for a two day discussion. Yesterday, she gave some behind-the-scenes dirt on DEAD BEFORE DARK. And today, she shares the details of her writer's life. She is also offering signed books--one lucky person who leaves a comment over at the book blog will be chosen for each of those two days to receive a a book. Also, be sure to check out my reviews of DYING BREATH & DEAD BEFORE DARK for a… Continue

My New Book Blog

Hey Everyone,

I've just been "hired" to write a book blog for Examiner.com (Hartford, CT). I am now their books examiner. I launched my column on Tuesday and have written posts on the James Patterson formula, Visual Bookshelf, the Kindle 2, and Jodi Picoult's upcoming appearance in CT. Currently, that last one is the most popular on the site, which is really cool. While I will be doing a lot to promote local authors, booksellers, and events, I am also going to be posting book reviews, author in… Continue

Extra Copy Of "Witch Hunt"

In my manic search to find a copy of Wendy's early YA novel "Witch Hunt"-now a rarity-I ended up with two. The second is in less than glamorous shape-it could use a bit of cosmetic work (not to mention that the excerpt at the back of the book was torn out), but it's readable. If anybody wants it, I'd be more than happy to send it your way to enjoy. The first person to comment wins!

"Bachelor Boy" And His Women

After viewing my photos from the weekend, Wendy asked me to blog about my experience of being serenaded onstage by Gloria Estefan. Little did either of us know that the story would continue in Canada, where I came face-to-face with Gloria (again!) after the show...

The following are two excerpts from my LiveJournal.

* * *

Yesterday, I had the good fortune of being able to "upgrade" my seats for tonight's show from row N to row A in the orchestra. (As in front row, baby!) So, with some encoura… Continue

John, I have been traveling through the members list looking for members who have actually posted blog entries. I am nearing the end and you are one of fewer than ten posters.

Congrats on being among those few

Sadly, the Mad Crapper is not a figment of my author imagination!! And I'll leave it at that. :-)

Well, when you write "domestic suspense," meat cleavers are more realistically and readily available than, say, sub-machine-guns. ;-)

Hi John,
I added "Flutie" pics to my page. As you can see I had a smile that would not go away ALL night long. It was awesome. Enjoy!!
